Antique Chinese Primitive Wood Basket-Rice Measure "Dou"

This is a fabulous antique Chinese grain measure, from the 1940's or 1950's. This Chinese basket is made from cyprus and dovetailed at the seams. Basket and wooden handle are reinforced with primitive, decorative hammered metal strips & staples.

Basket is in sturdy condition and will look fabulous when displayed. Measures 11"h x 15" dAntique basket shows some signs of age, wear on handle, knicks and bumps and a couple minor cracks. Metal pieces have age appropriate patina.
